The red light shined from above on the fixer in a tray. On the photograph was a maze of bubbles lightly packed with large fists of gray crystals.
I watched with deep intent.
“Do you see what happens? Developer. Stop. Now the fixer. A viola, the scene – a potato chip.”
“We took the picture with the X-ray microscope.”
“And now we have changed the negative to a positive through the magic of the camera of Ansel Adams Kodak.”
The red light shown in the photographs hangs from the string over the sink.
“And to see what was not was not seen.”
